Notify Vendor when user click notify me

Hi Guys,
I would like if the user leaves his email and press the button to alert me, get an email to the seller's mail. It's possible?
How do i change the file notify.php???

This question has been asked for many times. See for example this post from 2012 : http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=107349.0
But still it is not possible to do this with Virtuemart. Personally i think this is a very bad thing because for the developers it should be a small issue to fix probably.
I hope this issue will be fixed

We would like to see this feature also.

Sometimes for out of stock items we can order them in quickly if we know a customer wants it. At the moment we have to log into phpAdmin and run a SQL query on a regular basis to find what products our customers are waiting for, but this is time consuming and doesn't allow us to re-act to customer needs as quickly as if we were to get notification straight away.

In my opinion, the notify me button functionality should be such that when a buyer clicks it, there should be form where he can add his email address, phone number which should be sent to the vendor / store owner.

The only solution that I could find as of now is a plugin - http://www.walkswithme.net/product/virtuemart-waiting-list-dashboard-module

But I am not using this as it doesn't solve my purpose.

I don't understand why this feature is in VM - without notification emails to the vendor it is of little value.
Currently manually having to go through a list of products to find visitors who have used this feature is a waste of time.
Please implement email notification to vendor when notify me button is used.

If you use  app Virtuemart Email Manager and two plugins (Waitinglist Notify, Waitinglist) with cron,

then you see new view inside Virtuemart for waitinglist of all notifies and email for admin and customer is automatically sended.

Hi,

Been looking into a solution to the original post myself and a little disappointed email notification is not part of the core functionality when using notify me feature in Virtuemart.

However I came across another potential solution which might suit others hitting this thread:

Although it says V2 compatible I have just tried on V3.2.10 and it works - although could be tidier.

Since I posted the above I also found and implemented:

This allowed me to set up the site with notify me email to admin and it atomically provides a report of products with users waiting notification.
Now I only need to find away to remove users from the waiting list - without using the "send email to shoppers" feature on product status page.

I must say the extension is a real good find. Yes it works with VM 3.2.xx. I was able to do some language overrides to make it look a bit nice. Infact I even contacted the plugin dev but he has stopped working on J/VM so no possibility of an update. Anyone who can spare some time in tweaking this?

I dont think it's stop to work a day, this is a very little task to send email. Only Joomla 4 perhaps can break
