Hi,

You mean rights for editing, publishing, etc or to just access vm from the menu?

For the first make your user store admin or admin under shopper configuration.  For the second one you can find several posts if you search the forum:

Hi bytelord ,

thanks for your reply.
Unfortunatelly I can't make user store admin (I don't see option do do it in user list. looks like it is not possible in this version anymore)

I tried links but it looks like they are for older version of VM.
For example I can't figure out how to make something like this http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=100375.0;attach=49492;image (I would like to have components/Virtumart allowed for employee and all other access menu links hidden).
As ozzem in http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=100375.0 said: " i can't set shopper user to admin...there is not a way to do this."

Hello miamia,

Yes have been changed, sorry for that. Go to Joomla users configuration and assign a user as administrator or super admin, then automatically the shopper will assigned on shopper admin group under virtuemart.

For your second question if you make him admin, you could use the following extension for creating new icons, so the user with admin rights on joomla backend can have access on the options menu you have selected: http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/administration/extensions-quickicons/20310

Also you could create a new joomla group name it store admin and place there the permissions you wanna have your admin users under joomla backend.

hello bytelord, thanks for your comment. I tried various combinations of access rights but the newest joomla with newest VM works when second user is super admin only. And in this case he can manage whole backend...
Maybe I don't understand ACL logic of joomla or miss something.
I would really appreciate if you can write simple step by step instructions how to do this, when I want to allow one user to login to the backend and he must be able to fully manage whole Virtumart but not any other component, extension, website content.

Thank you very much in advance.

Hello,

hello bytelord,
when I assign this user to Administrator rights, in VM2 configuration in shopper tab he is as "shopper". But when I make him super admin in joomla, then he is in VM2 as "admin".

Hello,

I am not sure why this is happen. Did you try to login on FE with that user account and fill out the address fields? If no, please try again from the backend to check the user group what is happen when the user assign as administrator.
Discussing the issue with them team we see that users are getting confused so on the next release will be able to change group as was before 2.0.14.

hello, behaviour is the same. The best for now is to wait for the next release so we will be able to change group as was before 2.0.14.

thanks
