needed help with Front Page template

I am trying to set up a front in template for virtualmart 2, I have been trying to locate the answers in the forum with no luck.  here are the questions I have and many thanks for any helpful information in advance!

1. Is there any manuals, books, video for template overrides?
2. I am trying to set up just the products to show on the "Front page" of VM2 without categories, the only way I can get the item to show is to select "On Featured".  Is there another way without checking this?
3. I would like to have this divided into three sections per product [Image] [Short Description] [Price]; As of know it only shows the image.  If this can be done, how or what template do I need to modify.

Hey Shawn, I'll jump in your post. Sorry I can't answer your questions but my issue is similar with the front page template.
I installed VM2 into Joomla 2.5. I can't find a virtue mart template to select in the main template manager.
I want it to look like the VM demo site to start with and then make a few changes, Basically what i have is the demo joomla look with VM menu module as well as the This Site menu.

Any help would be great thank you!

Thanks for any help, it appears that we are not getting to many responses back on this matter but I am slowly trying to figure out the structure of the files and how to set up.  Once I do I will post some helpful suggestions.

I am looking for similar solution. I wasn´t able to find exactly what and where to modify the content of the VM frontpage.
Not even something as basic as where to write the intro text for the shop in order to welcome the user etc. Am I missing something or just to stupid to understand?

Any findings from you guys so far?

TO SET UP GO TO >components>virtuemart>shop.  here you can name your shop ,address etc.
Also same menu - configuration- for set up.
The rest of the VM set up can be done in this section. also make sure you have you shop Vm menu published... menu>main menu> your shop
to add content to Vm add a category and then product or go to joomla content menu for articles etc
the problem I have is finding the VM template. I think I think it might have installed incorrectly because there is no new template to choose in the template manager after installing VM.

components/com_virtuemart/views/virtuemart/tmpl

I went to :components/com_virtuemart/views/virtuemart/tmpl .... can you tell me if this is a different template from the ones that come with Joomla? eg. atomic,beez5 , beez20.
These are the only options I have in components Virtuemart > configuration > templates.
When I installed VM I thought it would just be a matter of selecting the VM2 template to make it look like the demo version.
Is there a way to get the VM template into the config panel?

Thanks for the information!  I have looked in the components/com_virtuemart/views/virtuemart/ ....but I do not have a components/com_virtuemart/views/virtuemart/tmpl section.

1. Do I make the template folder and put the vituemart?
2. If I do have to make this folder, where can I copy the original <Front Page> template so I can edit it?
