Virtuemart 2 - No Shipping and Payment methods.

Mmmm, I guess the VM team have lost their touch.

No Shipping and Payment methods. WTF !!!!

There is also no way to add these. The dropdown box "Select an option" is empty.

So how the #%$#$% is one meant to add these things.

There is no help or documentation on this !!!

Really #%#%$ annoying!!!

On the Add new Shipping method page it says this:
There are no shipment plugins installed, please go to http://dev.virtuemart.net/projects/VirtueMart/files and download/install the latest com_virtuemart_aio

There is no such file there. AIO ?

What does AIO stand for?

Tried to install    com_virtuemart.2.0.2_ext_aio.zip

and got this error: Unable to write entry

I have VM Version 2.0.2
Joomla 2.5.1

Probably something wrong with your hosting setup. eg old PHP or MySQL versions? Or incorrect intsllation procedure: http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=99127.0

PHP version is 5.2.17

MySQL API version : 5.0.51a

Should it be something else??

Absolute minimum PHP version for J2.5 is 5.2.4 and preferably 5.3.x ( I use 5.3.8 )

Minimum MySQL is 5.0.4 so that is OK.

There are several reports on other forums of a "Unable to write entry" error with various components. A high proportion seem to be with Godaddy hosted sites, which leads me to believe this is a server issue.

I followed the steps here:

1. Installed com_virtuemart.2.0.6.tar.gz
2. Installed com_virtuemart.2.0.6_ext_aio.tar.gz

Payment  Methods and shipping methods are unpopulated.

Okay, I see that I can manually place and configure them and the methods (only 5 supplied rather than the 19 in version 1) are available via dropdown.

With Shipping, all that populates is "Shipment based on the Weight, ZIP and Countries". Where are all the other shipping modules???

The provided shipping module is highly configurable to suit many requirements, and 3rd party developers are steadily creating other shipper modules, see http://extensions.virtuemart.net/extensions-virtuemart-2/shipments and http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?board=135.0

I have found the shipping method setup but cannot find any documentation on its use. 

1. If I want to only ship by weight can I simply ignore all of the other fields?

2. Do I have to replicate the shipping method for each weight range (assuming the system picks up the total weight and only shows the appropriate choice in the checkout)?
