Dropdown sub-menu works on Contact Us - but not on Homepage

Snapshot 1:
Main Menu contains sub-menus.
Homepage mapped to - VM Categories Listing
Brands represents - VM Manufacturers Module
Product Categories represents - VM Categories Listing

Snapshot 2:
Clicking on one of the sub-menu items (say Contact Us),
the drop down sub-menu in Brands and Product categories works.

When I am at Homepage, the drop down sub-menus do not work !!

Please advise what I may do to rectify this.
VM - 2.0.x ; Joomla - 1.7.x

your menu more than likely uses jquery. try disabling vmart jquery

Thanks a lot . This resolved my 2 problems simultaneously.
1. I can see category images of products
2. Drop down sub-menus are working on all pages
