Offline processing for Credit Card payments

From what I can gather, VM 2.0 has no ability to capture credit card details for offline payment processing, nor is a plugin available.

I understand this very basic feature, which was available in 1.xx, has been removed. Am I correct?

If so, this is a showstopper. I have been a long-time user of Virtuemart but the absence of this single feature will mean I am stuck with 1.1.9, yes?

Surely there must be many sellers who are in this predicament. What solutions are others using to overcome this?

I guess VM2 is so new that the plugin for this functionality simply does not exist. I'd assume not very many are using VM2 in commercial use yet.
