Use a single “Name” field instead of First name / Last name in VirtueMart?

Hi,

Is there a supported way in VirtueMart to use a single "Name" field instead of separate First name and Last name fields?

We don't need the name split anywhere, and we'd like to reduce the number of required fields in checkout as much as possible.
