I mean editing the short and long product description. Is Virtuemart in the near or very distant future planning or considering abandoning the ancient double  textarea that was widely used in Joomla 2.5 and eventually changed (in Joomla 3) to a single textarea with the option of splitting using <hr id="system-readmore"> ?

There are components/plugins that work only with a single text area, which creates issues when integrated with VirtueMart.
