Non-functioning child product sorting in Multi Variant after Virtuemart update

Hello,

we updated Virtuemart from version 4.2.6 to 4.2.12 on Joomla! 5.1.0 and I found out that in Multi Variants it is not possible to set the order of child product after the update. The sorting icon has disappeared, see attached image.

so i tried the latest version of VirtueMart 4.2.18 11050 and found that the problem is still not fixed. 

On a positive note, the shift icon appears in the black-white-cyan template.

If I switch to the black-white-cyan or midnight version of the template, the sort icon does not appear.

The easiest way is to reinstall the older version of the Vmadmin template - nothing special changes except the version name.

That is wrong hazael. But I really wonder how changing the css can affect that.

This is not a problem with the template or css but with the basic Virtuemart file:

/administrator/components/com_virtuemart/models/customfields.php

I modified this file. You just need to overwrite the zipped file that I added to the attachment.

After the change, all custom fields will be displayed according to the standard of the new Virtuemart template - just like in the attached picture
