Forum's activation email not sent after changing account email address [SOLVED]

I cannot see any topic for this kind of problems with forum accounts so i had to open this new topic. Please moderators, if you have to delete this topic, please forward it to the admins of the forum, I am sure that there must be other people having the same problem...
This is what happens: I tried to change the email of my virtuemart forum account but I never received the activation email (i have looked in my email Junk folder). I have tried to login with my username  but i get the message "An Error Has Occurred! Your email address needs to be validated before you can login. Need another activation email?" Then I click at "Need another activation email?" and i get "A new activation email has successfully been sent" but   no email comes to my mailbox. I have also tried the "Forgot your password?" link at the login page but i get: "Sorry, this account has not yet been activated. If you need to resend the activation email please click here." Then I "click here", fill up the "Resend activation code" form and I get "A new activation email has successfully been sent" but again no email comes to my mailbox. What else can I do to unlock my old account?
This is why I had to make this new account so that i can make this new topic / message to ask for help. Please help!!!

Jörgen, thank you for your response. I have already checked the inbox and spam folders both for my previous email and for my new email but no messages have come from this forum. This might have happened, because when I changed my email address in my profile account settings form, in the same time, i changed also my password... I think that this might have caused a rare situation that the system did not handle as expected and the result was that no message has been sent to enable my account, after these two simultaneous modifications (email address and password)...
So what sould i do now? Is it posible that a forum admin could send again the "enable message" for the account?

The problem was solved this way: I tried to login with my username and password and for one more time i got the message "An Error Has Occurred! Your email address needs to be validated before you can login. Need another activation email?" Then I clicked at "Need another activation email?" and inserted at the "new email address" field, a diferrent, brand new email address and not one of my old email addresses. Then at last i really received "A new activation email" to my new email address...

Then, I was curious to see what had happened, and i tried to change my account email address again, to my old email address, the one I had been trying... The same problem happened again, no activation message was sent to that old email address. So I had to make use of the solution I described in the previous paragraph for one more time... My forum email address is now my brand new email and everything works just fine.
