Hello to the VirtueMart Community!

Please help me either develop a new component / plugin or find a working solution we can further customize for "VirtueMart Subscriptions".

I just realized we will all want a component / plugin "VirtueMart Subscriptions" that will allow our websites to manage subscriptions and payment plans giving us better control and also allowing us to save money and even make more money... Let me explain. Over the last year I have moved from PayPal to Stripe for full payments / recurring payments / payment plans / subscriptions ... and I have discovered that Stripe is much easier to work with especially as they allow us to have "Connected Platform" and "Application Fee" which allows us to take a fee or % of all our client's transactions and makes it easier (seamless) for us to set them up - game changer!! While Stripe makes it easy to setup subscriptions / recurring payments, they charge an extra 0.5% or more on every transaction for this ... so we are much better not using that and instead using our own websites to mange these payments (and we can take that 0.5% or more for our efforts).

As a component "VirtueMart Subscriptions" should be able to use any existing payment plugin to process payments, provided it has the ability to save / update / re-use credit card info. However, I only need it to work with Stripe payments for my clients.

Ideally, I want to hire a developer to build a component / plugin I can then sell to the community - but I'd be happy to help pay you to further customize and test your existing component / plugin. This includes the VM core development team - this would be a great add-on and would work best if you fully integrated it.

We did it! We developed a new custom payment plugin for VirtueMart using Stripe for payments, payment plans, and subscriptions. Now working on several of our client's websites. Might be several months before we can make it available to the public.

• All payments initiated from the website - no need to pay Stripe additional subscription or other fees.
• Easy to set payment plans as separate payment methods that show for different SKUs
• Payments are collected automatically as scheduled, can manually try individual payments or batch all that are due
• Single customer order shows payments received and refunded
• Notification emails sent automatically when payment received or not
• Customers can securely update and save their credit cards for future payments
• Can have Stripe connected accounts so we can fully manage payments and refunds for our clients and can also collect transaction fees
• ... and much more
