Hi folks !
I updated Virtuemart to 3.8.8 version and I noticed a plugin that seems to not be there in the older version I had :
System - Virtuemart
This plugin from Junstoppable.com is not activated.
Does anyone know what is it for and must it be activated or not ?

I hesitated to activate or delete it because the plugin mouse-over said :

"This plugin is the centerpiece of the entire VirtueMart products."

Is it for the new Beta admin template ?

Eugen Stranz has left the product years ago. But I think I was a bit quick in condeming this. Looks like the Virtuemart plugin is new since VM3.8.

Looks like it is only activated during update, but I could be wrong. Seems to load library files needed for vm_store templates. Someone else might have some more ideas.

I agree.
It will be not deleted and not actived if this plugin add nothing pertinent for a virtuemart normal use.
isn't it ?

As I said before, I am a bit unsure about the functionality. But since it has been added for VM 3.8 I guess we should let it be for now. Maybe someone else has an opinion.

it looks for a template name "VmStoreTemplate" in the template folder - what ever that is .. never heard of it .. and registers the namespace 'VmStoreTemplate' if present..

that's it

I really don't know why it is incl. in the install but will do no harm
