Using Coupon for free freight

Hi there,

I have a special group of clients in my city that I want to offer free freight for anything they order, can this be done using a Coupon?
Or is there another way of doing this?

You can do this with Shopper Groups. Assign these clients to their own shopper group and set up a standard VM Shipment set for zero cost and assigned to that group only.

Thanks for the reply. If a shopper that qualifies for this group and is making a purchase for the first time how would they be assigned to that group? I'm just not sure how this would work.

If it is to be done automatically then you need a plugin such as https://extensions.virtuemart.net/marketing/promotions/shopper-group-changer-detail

Or manually assign the group.
