Event Manager with buying tickets?

Hi,

I am going to migrate an old 1.5 Joomla site which has an eshop running with 1.1.4 Virtuemart. So both Joomla and Virtuemart will be upgraded to last versions.

We would like to use an Event Manager system that could display scheduled events and eventually give opportunity to users to buy tickets when it will be a paid event.

I need your advises for this feature.

Because until now we used Eventlist but never tried to sell tickets. Now Enventlist has been replaced by JEM. But JEM, as Eventlist, isn't intended for events for groups and organisations with buying tickets...

Do you know such an extension that could be easily be interfaced with Virtuemart?
What would be your advises?

Thanks for your help

Mister Paul

OK perhaps there another angle to ask my question...
;-)

How should I use Virtuemart to sell tickets for an event?

Thanks for your help

Atm I write such a plugin. It is a QRcode generator, which gives the user a QR code to print, or to display in the smartphone and the ticket collector can than scan the code, which is then set to "scanned".

I think thats it, actually. What do you mean else?

Thank you!
I don't know what you mean by "Atm" but, as far as I see, a specific QRcode generated for each customer that would be pluged to Virtuemart sounds to be THE solution, no?

- In what way the QRcode generated is interfaced with Virtuemart? (unique user infos, avalaible stock gestion (=seats), what could happen when it's scanned at the event entrance/control, ...)

- For now I don't need unique places to be sold, but later, how could we be abled to manage a "theater like" reservation with single individual numbered seats? A mapped image over the theater plan?

Mister Paul

and... Milbo, where could I find your QRcode generator?
;)

Mister Paul

Oops... ATM means At The Moment, right?
;-)

Please, when do you plan to release your plugin?

Milbo

Please write a ticket here https://extensions.virtuemart.net/ticket

The QR code generator is ready, but for another purpose (add product by qr code). So I need to adjust it.

Milbo,
it took me so much time to be able to answer you... Please forgive me but unfortunately I really had no time before.

I just made some research, but I can't see your QR Code plugin generator on internet. Is there any web page where I could see it?
Then I'll write a ticket in extension.virtuemart.com refering to « QR Code plugin generator » as you advised to me.
