Search by price enabled but no results display

Joomla 3.5.1

I have enabled product price as a search criteria but nothing seems to display in front end. Is there a special string to use when searching by price? Ive tried an exact price of a product, > 25.00, 25.00-100.00, etc. No results display.

Ive attached screen caps of my settings if that helps any.

I am using the standard VM search module & plugin with J3.5.1 & VM3.0.16 on Protostar and have no problems searching by price. I wonder what is different from your setup.
