Hiya

I have a strange indexing issue with my website. On my website www.paperbear.ie I have categories on the left handside.  When you click on them (Ie: Birthdays) some have multiple pages that you click on. Sometimes when I am in a category and clicking 'next'  or on a page  number it doesn't work and instead goes back to page 1.  My partner had same issue in past too.

I checked yesterday and had problem in the 'Birthday' '. It would not go to page 2. I could go to page 3 though by clicking '3'. Just couldn't click page 2 or go to next from page 1. It would simply go back to page 1.  However my partner checked and could click on page 2. I thought maybe its my computer or a cache issue. Today I can click on all pages. No problems. However a customer placed an order today and emailed me this:
"your website indexing seems broken - often clicking "next" would go back to first set of cards...

It's like it works some days and not the other days. Does anyone know why this is happening?

Regards

Aaron

Joomla version is 3.4.1 and virtuemart version is 3.0.

There does appear to be a pagination problem but as you are using a commercial template it is not possible for us to know what template overrides are used.  http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=108212.0

However your Joomla and VirtueMart versions are very old, and seriously insecure. You should consider updating ASAP, but make sure you test on a site backup as your template overrides may need editing to be compatible with current J/VM versions.  See http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=118683.0

It is possible that updating could resolve your pagination problem.

Removed the Joomla menu structure linking to VM and just put in a single link to browse the categories and products

Am I understanding this correctly:  all you did was change several menu items and instead put in just one link?  I'm not seeing how that would affect your rankings.  Bots can still find your products and categories, correct?  You're not blocking things with a nofollow?

Or are you saying by changing the menu, you somehow changed the path of the URLs to the categories and products?  If URLs changed, you'd need to 301 redirect old page to new pagehttp://www.sukhbirsinghbadal.org/

Hi smith256

Sorry i don't mean indexing ranking.  It was a problem with the pagination within the categories. We are going to update the versions of joomla/virtuemart as they are quite old. Hopefully that will fix the issue,

Thanks
