Hi All,

This is probably an easy one but I have a new template that I love, it doesn't have virtuemart with it. Should it work VM if I install it? I have it all set up and can display products etc but I can't add to cart. Do all templates work with VM?

Thanks,
James

joomla 3.4.8
virtuemart 3.0.12

Yes -- all VM views have their own supplied "templates" that could take some of their styling from your current template..

just install and try

Maybe I did'nt quite understand your answer, I thought you where talking about themes and installing different views. I have a template for joomla but it does not do anything with VM? All the VM pages are plain and look awful.

I have added my own css and made it look better now. I am still in need of some features that are on my other sites with different templates, can I use the modules from them?

Thanks,

James

only you can answer that.. it is just styling /and or/ extra functions

you can try dropping the template html/com_virtuemart into your template from another but many complex ones also have plugins that go with it

why not just style the base templates.. ?
