Change thumbnail link to open "ask a question"

Hi Virtuemarters

I am using virtuemart 3.0.4 on Joomla 3.2.7.

On my product category page, I want the "ask a question" window to pop up when a visitor clicks on a thumbnail image. At the moment i have the "ask a question" button situated below the image but i would like to remove the button and allow users to click the image to get that box. How can i accomplish this?

Your Joomla/VM versions are seriously out of date.  http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=118683.0

The default VM3 templates do not display "Ask a question" on the category page, only on the product details page. Are you using template overrides or a commercial template?
