How to Block Spam Registrations / Emails / Comments

Hi All,

I have read and read trying to find a simple solution to stop bogus registrations on VM. I'm not too worried about emails as email spam filters will usually catch most of them, and comments is something I'm not really using as yet but I put it in the title as it may be important to some others and think if there is a solution it will probably cover both/all.

I'm currently trialing a plugin called "CleanTalk" but I'm uncertain to their credibility, they seem to block a lot of fake registrations so far, but it seems a lot more than I was originally getting but can't say that for sure. Any one any experience with it? Or does anyone have any other suggestions? I have tried recaptcha in the past but it's quite difficult and time consuming to setup and configure, and then google change things from time to time and then it stops working or stops the registration process completely. I also think I remember in the past it wouldn't work with VM registration, only the joomla registration, and forgive me if this is completely merged now but they still look different to me.

Be great to hear what options we have.
