Two checkouts where one leads to an empty cart

We have a problem going to the cart/checkout and I hope someone can explain to me what I can do to solve it.

Adding stuff to the cart is no problem but when I press the green Vis kurv (Show Cart) button I'm mostly taken to an empty cart. In the middle of the top there is a menu that features a VM menu (VirtueMart » cart) this link work as expected and always takes one to the full cart.

How do I get the green button to behave like a standard VirtueMart » cart link?
It should behave like the one in the top menu?

yes - very buggy - even though the minicart is showing 5 products when i go to cart only 1..
I still get only 1 though from the kasse link

1. I know this template well  - a couple of clients use it and have to say we have had a lot of problems... (Reviver is it?)
It loads so much JS..
First try with the standard template .. will be willing to bet it all works (try Protostar)

BTW - you aren't using caching are you?
