Required shopperfield based on choises

i want to require that shoppers fill out some extra info if they choose something from a radio shopperfield. Is this a limitation of VM or is it actually possible?

Actually its not with regard to the product they shop.
Its more like being a company requires you enter a VAT number, or being a big company requires you to enter a EAN number (so that bookkeeper can make the correct info at once)

Also that being a company gives you the ability the use a certain shipmentmodule.

I thought i could do this by shoppergroups but "guest" users cannot change their shopper group and also i cannot differentiate shopperfields based on shoppergroup?

a plugin can also give guests a group, see my euvatid plugin

Okay but can your plugin make some fields required if shopper is company? For example, forcing shopper to fill out extra info (contact person, department, whatever)
I am currently using virtueplanets OPC - do you have any knowledge if it will "work" together ?
