Hi,

I am a brand new user of Virtuemart and have just installed 3.0.6.2 on a J3.4.1 system.  I am currently married to a T3 Framework template (not made for virtuemart but responsive with newest BS3) that outputs the bare bones install just fine.  My question is this:

I am trying to find a way to fast track the design of the shop portion of the site and was wondering if I were to get another template which is built upon the same T3 framework and specifically designed for VM3, is it conceivable and/or possible to just create a template override for the Non-VM3 template with the php/css of the VM3 template since they are both using the same Framework?

Perhaps I am just overthinking this whole thing and can just get a responsive template and set the shop settings to use this one instead of main site default template?  I'm just new to this and am a bit confused and am not trying to spend more money than is necessary on templates, etc.

Any assistance or advice is greatly appreciated before I get started on this project.

You can take the default VM templating system and make overrides as required, add in some display specific css and it works OK. You really don't need the overheads of a framework, but that's your choice.
