can i create a Categorie without a pictue

By Category Category picture what is the function File activated?
When I checked out of him than he was again automaticly ticked if I save him.
I just want to create a category without a picture so only the name is that possible?

You do not have to add a picture, but ut then will see the "image unavailable" displayed. This can be hidden on the category page with css or using suitable template overrides.
