Remove Subcategories

Hello, I am using Joomla! 2.5.20 and VirtueMart 3.0.2

I have a shop with categories that have two or three  Subcategories, but i want to saw only the Top level categories and i want to remove all the sub categories. is there any hint how can i do that?

Start by updating to current versions, J2.5.28 VM3.0.6.2 then deselect "Show Children Category" in Configuration/Templates

thank you for your reply Jenkinhill. I have deselected the Show Children Category but when i do that it removes alla the categories. i just Want the Subcategories! and I made the updates too!

do u mean you want the first sublevel to show but not 2nd or 3rd?

Hi,

Your question is very strange.
Why you set multiple categories level and only want 1 level ?
If you need to change the categories, you can use, in product list, batch associate categories
After processing, delete the unneeded categories.

Or you probleme is the virtuemart categories module ?
