Product price showing with single decimal when price ends in 0

I've searched for an answer to this problem but trying to narrow down the search string has been challenging ... it's a fairly specific problem.

I'm  using VirtueMart 2.6.6  and   Joomla 2.5.22

The problem is with products that have multiple prices based on quantity. The quantity/price table shows up just fine and the prices are formatted correctly as long as the price doesn't end in 0. In the image below you can see most of the price format is correct (26.43) ... but prices that should be something like 8.10 are showing up as 8.1. I've gone all through the configuration pages of virtuemart and cannot seem to find anything that is setting this format. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
