Add / update MPN numbers and Manufacturers

I am wondering if there is an easier way to add Manufacturers and MPN numbers? We have a client that needs to add approx. 1200 and instead of going into each product individually i'm wondering if there is perhaps a way of updating them in the product list view within admin? So, in theory you could set the product view to say 200 (rows) products in list view and then simply click on the field in the respective column and add the info there? Is there an extension that would allow this?

Any assistance would be appreciated.
