Direct display of 4 products in cart to start with

I have a question: or actually my client has a question.
He owns a small shop with just 4 products ( 1 category). The website gives al lot of information about the products, so the customers know what products they want or not.
He likes the one-page-checkout, but his suggestion is to start with displaying the 4 articles with default zero instead of 1 article to order, so that the only thing the customers have to do is fill in the number of products of the things they want. The products with zero ordered products should be neglected afterwards.
Is something like that possible ? Does it need additional programming? or is it just configuration (I think not - but I am not very experienced with VM).

Theres no way this can be done by configuration but could be done by templating
