If we reinstall vm plugin, the data in the website will lost?

Hello,

since last two days i am facing a problem with my vmshippment issue, because we are unable to link the payment gateway tools. If we re-install the VM plugin the work(in the website) which we have done till data will be lost??

i am using Joomla 2.5 version.

If you uninstall the plugin, your configuration settings will be lost. If you update the plugin, your configuration settings will be kept.
