Shows only 1 product per row

Hi there,

I am starting a webshop. I catogarized my products and created different menu buttons per categorie. At my front page I like to see my products which I have marked as "special" in Virtuemart. So far so good.
In the Virtuemart configuration and also at the categories pages I selected 4 items per row. This is showing correctly at the categorie pages but for the front page, the  products marked as special, there is only 1 product per row. So actually I see 1 long vertical row with products in stead of a couple of horizontal rows.

Can someone please help me to fix this?

are you using a theme? any overrides on your homepage? If you toggle your store to the beez 2.0 template does it work?
