Vendor order confirmation by email

I need a vendor to be able to authorise an order via email. For example, a customer places an order, the admin receives the order via email and so does the vendor and the customer, but the order needs to be authorised by the vendor, ideally through them clicking a link in the email to say, yes this order can be processed. The admin then receives an email saying the order has been confirmed and so does the customer.
I could give the vendor back end access obviously to screen the orders but they are asking if it can be done via a link in an automated email.

Is this possible?
