override or change noimage.gif

Hi Ocean 1
YOu can overwrite the image saved here: /components/com_virtuemart/assets/images/vmgeneral/noimage.gif

Or alternatively (and my favourite) create a new one and manually upload it to any missing product. This way when Virtuemart updates you won't need to manually alter this every time

override must be done in : templates/NAME/html/com_virtuemart/*
it seems that it has been forgotten the images part
or do I miss something?

I may be wrong; but, I'm pretty sure you can't and this wouldn't be an override - you would need to overwrite the existing file at the address in my post above.

Hence why I said to manually upload one instead - that is my perfered choice.

And if its a multi store with multi template use and a different colors
Then we prefer different images such as noimage.gif
Almost everything can be don with overrides accept some parts like the /components/com_virtuemart/assets/images/vmgeneral/*

TBH here is a nice example of a roundabout solution - http://stackoverflow.com/questions/15180467/change-button-image-using-overrides - just try not to do it too often otherwise it will cause issues / security holes when Virtuemart updates
