Credit card from VM1 from VM2

My client is using credit card in it old site build int Joomla 1.5 and VM1, Now he want the same credit card process in his VM2

The site is complete except credit card function, I said my client that if he want to use credit card in VM2 , he must had to use some extension as VM2 bydefault does not provide credit card function. I had shown him many paid application but he is saying if my old site has credit card function the new version will had to take the same way , he dit not want to use any paid extension nor he is accepting a free credit card applicaton.

So, is this possible to transfer the credit card same payment method to VM2 or no we must had to use some extesnion

In other word, I just want to know if we want to use credit card on our site should we must had to use some third party extesnion? Please reply ASAP, as i need to get answer to day

ah one of these guys. How much do you get for doing a store for him. If the people would be fair, they would say. Cool I take a software for free, create something out of it, can make my living. The shopowner says, cool, I pay a monthly salary and can sell via internet and make my living.

Problem is ... the people who created the basic to make your living dont get anything. => you wont make your living with it next time, because there isnt any. That happened almost with vm1. Just buy this http://extensions.virtuemart.net/payments/offline-credit-card-processing-detail and see it as donation for the core. You are using a software with 10 000s of hours in it. So if you correlate this with your hourly rate or payment for the shop, I dont think it is too much. You can also use some of the payments delivered with the core, they have also creditcart payment options, but they have of course different rates.
You could ask the heidelpay guys. It is a pure creditcard payment within the core. Sofortbanking, skrill and paypal also allow to pay with creditcards. It depends on your business what is the correct payment plugin for you.

Advantage: It is maintained then at least for another year, security issues are fixed within hours and the core will be developed further.

But if your customer think it is better to spare 35€ to use a free, but very likely sooner or later unsecure method. Go ahead. Let your customers get annoyed by stolen creditcard numbers and similar. I would assume that your customer is a correct businessman so he has the duty to take care for the data of his customers.

If your client does not want to pay 35e for an extension then I suggest you part company with them!

If they want everything for free then heed Milbo's comments.  If the VM team cannot eat (or drink fine beer and wine) they die and then so does the project.
