preview full invoice.pdf

Hi there,

Been looking for a while, can't find the answer (yet).

How can I preview the invoice.pdf that I am sending to my customers. I have found the template in Shop > shop > invoices. The only thing I can see there is a button to preview the header and footer of the invoice.pdf  I can't preview a full 'sample' invoice.pdf. 

We have a 'live' Virtuemart shop and the only way I know I can receive an invoice.pdf is by buying something from the shop and have the invoice.pdf sent to my by mail. This seems a bit much, especially if you are changing something in the template and then want to have a look what the result will be... change a bit more, etc. etc.

Have I missed a feature of Virtuemart? Or is it simply not possible? Or is there a workaround?

You could check printable version of order. For true pdf invoice testing your need to delete file in vmfiles folder each time.

I use the invoice button in the orders list print view column to generate a copy which is downloaded to me, so it has real order data to view/check.  (VM2.0.24)

I may be missing something, but I can't find the "invoice button in the orders list print view column" in my store, so I cannot "generate a copy which is downloaded to me". Where is that button supposed to be?

I am using the default virtuemart (2.0.24) templates and I am using the beez5 template for the 2.5.16 site. If you want, you can have a look at the site I'm working on: http://abonnementen.dutchabroad.nu This is the test site, nót the 'live' site.
