Hi all,

I recently had someone totally customize my virtuemart 2.0 administration but when I moved it to another host everything looks and works fine expect the layout of the add or edit a product in virtuemart is there a css or file I'm missing?  the form is all over the place not at all how it used to look, and this guy has disappeared on me so now I'm stuck with this, any help or direction would be greatly appreciated Thank you so much for your time and advice

Hi all,

I recently had someone totally customize my joomla 2.5.6 and virtuemart 2.0 administration I'm not sure what version it is but it says there is an update to version  2.0.8e so I'm assuming its prior to that,  and I can't update it cause it will change all the customization I had done to it,

My problem is  when I moved it to another host everything looks and works fine expect the layout of the add or edit a product in the virtuemart Component is there a css or file I'm missing?  the form is all over the place not at all how it used to look, and this guy has disappeared on me so now I'm stuck with this, any help or direction would be greatly appreciated Thank you so much for your time and advice

I'd stop right there. You may have some edits/hacks - maybe even without using overrides, but you are strongly advised to update. Both your Joomla and VirtueMart versions are old and have known critical security issues which have already been exploited by hackers. Current versions are J2.5.14 and VM2.0.24

See the note in the security update announcement about template overrides:  http://virtuemart.net/news/latest-news/446-important-security-release-vm-team-at-joomladay-germany
And see http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=118683

While you put that into action, did you move the original site with Akeeba backup? If so you should have an exact clone of the original,. nothing should be missing. Maybe post a url

Thank you I will update it once I figure out how to get the formatting back in my administrator side for add or edit products, where are the css files or how its that portion of virtuemart formatted? once I get it back to how it was I can upgrade it, but I need to figure out why my edit or update products page text and check boxes are all over the place and are smaller sizes, what controls the formatting of that page?

Thank you

For VM administrator the css files are in administrator/components/com_virtuemart/assets/css and the view files (templates) are in administrator/components/com_virtuemart/views/product/tmpl
You could use something like DiffMerge to compare the files in the original VM fileset with those on the server.

I have something totally different than what Kelly has...on the Edit/Add Billing Information the layout is all weird; it isn't laying out like it should be.  Whereas on the ship to part of it, it looks exactly like it should be.  I'm running vm 2.0.22c and Joomla 2.5.14 and PHP 5.3.10; here is a pic of what it looks like.

Can anybody tell me how to fix this?

Hi

Sistersue, I'm not sure where that can be

but this really nice guy jenkinhill has helped me get closer to where my admin should be except now I'm getting this error

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/content/****/html/****/administrator/components/com_virtuemart/views/product/view.html.php on line 86

and some of my text looks really weird, could this be the language file? and if so, how can I fix this text and the boxes that go off to the right?

Thanks again jenkinhill if your out there and have a bit of time to look at this for me I would gladly PM you all the ftp info and back end site logins I know you're very busy and I apologize for asking, but I'm new to all this customization that has been done on my site and would really like to get it to work right

Thank you

Hi Kelly :)

Sorry, I wish I could help you...but what you just typed is all foreign to me...Hopefully JenkinHill will come to your rescue again.
