Hi!
Ive almost made all the views for my site, but some are still pending...
This is the case for CATEGORIES VIEW. I dont know what this view is for, as i have CATEGORY, and work fine...
How do a user get into this view?
Regards!

Categories view shows all categories with their thumbnails, category view shows all products & thumbs within a single category.  Use Joomla meneu links to show either.

I dont know if this is what your are asking, but my VM menu is a sidebar module that shows all the categories in <ul> text format....
From there you can access categories and subcategories. But there is no link to "show only parent categories".
I think i dont have to worry about this view, as i dont find a way the user could get access to this.
What do you think?

You must have a Joomla menu link to the VM component for it to work and so that VM modules can be assigned - normally that would be to the "home page" - that page will include the categories view.

Yes, in my Joomla menu (one is "Blog", other "About me", other "Shop", etc...). The "Shop" item is pointing to VM. Which shows the "virtuemart" view. My virtuemart view have parent categories on top (default_categories.php), and products on bottom (default_products.php).
No categories view....

The parent categories part! - that is like the categories view, its the same as that but without the other elements on the page.
