log-in greeting not working

Hello,
I'm sure it was working at the start but alas it seems I don't get a log in greeting when logged in to my virtuemart 2.0 site. I'm wanting a little "hello username" to appear next to the login / register icons on the top right but it doesn't happen and it just always looks as though you aren't logged in. Maybe i've done something to the code accidentally?

It is working on the checkout page down within the user form, just not in the top right panel.

Turn on "Show Greeting" in Joomla's login module or whichever login module your template uses. Not a VirtueMart issue.

Thank you for your quick reply. I have checked the joomla login module and the show greeting is set to Yes. I checked that this was the correct module by briefly unpublishing it first. I have asked the vm-flexi template people so maybe they will have an answer......

They probably removed that part in a template override.

For anyone else that has this issue, the only resolution I could work out myself was to download a third party "greeting" extension and publish it to a custom html module. If I was better at coding i'm sure there would be another way around it, but after hours of trying to fix it i downloaded a greeting extension and it solved my problem in 10 mins.
