Hello,
i have a VM 2.0.6 site and when i publish some new products, the order of them in the front-end view is not "Last Added to Past Added" but i can see the new uploads in the last page! I want to make appear the latest added products on the first page in each category.
I have try to order by Creation, etc but is the same, how can i do?

Thanks in advance for help

Your VM version is very old and known to have security issues. The current VM version has drag and drop re-ordering.

I can't update VM version, because template that i'm using change everything and didn't work fine :(
How can i do for to order categories? Why if i choose order by creation date VM doesn't show the real order by publishing date?

Thanks

jenkinhill

Ordering never did work properly (or at all) in VM versions older than about 2.0.14. With commercial templates usually all that is needed is to revise the VM template overrides when upgrading, but if you are unable to do that then maybe ask the template supplier to provide updated files?.

And how can i override my template?

Template overrides were introduced as far back as Joomla 1.5 to allow changes to the layout and style of Joomla components and modules. They are used a lot in commercial Joomla templates. See http://docs.virtuemart.net/tutorials/33-templating-layouts.html and http://www.ostraining.com/blog/joomla/overrides

The changes in VM output and therefore potentially required to update overrides are listed in the liveupdate info  http://virtuemart.net/index.php?option=com_content&id=416 - which also links back to earlier version changes.
