Blank checkout screen

Hi, I've come up against a brick wall - my VM checkout won't display. Just a blank screen, no error messages, nothing: http://www.sitandsleep.sway-search.co.uk/

Error logs aren't giving me any clues either. I have Rupostel one page check installed but have disabled this to get to the bottom of the issue.

What I've tried:

Increased PHP memory
Disabled plug ins/components that would display on the page to see if they were causing a conflict.

I'm running:

Joomla 2.5.11
VM 2.0.20b
PHP 5.3.24
MySQL 5.1.69

Weird thing is this site is a clone of another working site: http://www.futondesign.co.uk/

Anyone come across this before?

Cheers

John

Usual cause of something like this is that Enable SSL for sensitive areas (recommended) is selected in Config/Shop but the host is not set up for https.

Rule out template/override related issues by switching the Joomla template to Beez & seeing if the checkout will display then.

Hi Kelvyn, thanks for that. Well the checkout works with Beez 20 so looks like a template issue. Guessing that would indicate a javascript conflict going on?

Thanks for your help.

You do jave js issues but I have not seen that stop a page from showing.

This error comes up as the index page is opening:
SCRIPT5007: Unable to get property 'getElementsByTagName' of undefined or null reference
www.sitandsleep.sway-search.co.uk, line 60 character 5

Right, finally found the problem - was the no numbers advanced module manager. I had the phoca VM categories assigned to various pages and used the advanced module manager to exclude from certain URLs.

As a workaround I've excluded the checkout and payment page URLs as well. Seems to have sorted it.

Hope that helps if you have a similar problem.

We have a previous report of a problem with that!
