Virtuemart invoice pdf problem (no english letters are replaced with ?)..?

Hello!

So have a virtuemart 2.0.20b and joomla 2.5.11, my problem is that when i generate pdf invoice it replace not english letters with ?[/u]

my site is in latvian language and contains letters like ļ,ī,ā,ī,ē, which is replaced by "?"

Problem example
R??ina datums  - should be "Rēķina datums"
Pieg?de Pieg?de uz J?su adresi - should be "Piegāde uz Jūsu adresi"
Maks?jums Samaksa preces sa?emšanas br?d? "should be "Maksājumus samaksa preces saņemšanas brīdī"

as i am not form english speaking country, i would like to have that pdf invoice show my contry letters liek ā, ķ,ī ļ,ņ

may be someone can help with this...?
