Add image with same zoom / lightbox effect as the products

In a text-field (in VM) I want to add a thumb that linkts to the larger image, just like the products images in VM. I thougt adding rel="vm-additional-images" to the link would do it, but it does not? (This is not inside a product but still in VM)
