VM2 Intergration with Community Builder - issue with 2.0.20b

There is a CB Subs VM Plugin which enables you to allocate successfully signed-up members of your CB site to various shopper groups in VM2 according to the Subscription Plan that they have signed up to.
A file has been added back into the 2.0.20b release of VM that causes the CB Subs VM Plugin to fail.
That file is /components/com_virtuemart/virtuemart_parser.php as far as I can tell it is only relevant to checking VM1 tables.
Removing this file allows proper use of the CBSubs VM Plugin and doesn't seem to have a bad effect on the VM2 installation.
It would be useful to have a view from someone who knows why the virtuemart_parser.php field was put back into the 2.0.20b release so that we can all understand whether we need it or not.
