I have 2.0.14 installed with a trustwave certificate I am getting different results with different browsers.

Chrome https works for all checkout steps except credit card page which is offline virtuemart credit card plugin

Internet explorer some areas are secure some are not same thing for firefox.

The website is http://aubouquet.ca if any one has any clue would be appreciated, I was told that it might be due to some non secure links but have not been able to find.

As far as I know there are three areas to check:

SSL enabled on your server? (SSL only works if you have an SSL certificate installed and attached to your domain on your server).
Joomla menu items pointing to pages which should be https set to 'Secure' = "On" in their 'Metadata options'?
'Force SSL' in Joomla Global Configuration set to "None"?
In VirtueMart configuration 'Enable SSL for sensitive areas (recommended)' enabled?

I'm using a free SSL certificate from 'StartSSL' (has to be installed on the server by your webhoster of course), which works without problems.

Just for Info - most browsers are working with a predefined list of CA certificates.
A list of included certificates for the Firefox browser is here: http://www.mozilla.org/projects/security/certs/
For Internet Explorer, see here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/931125
For Apple's Safari, maybe see here (???): http://www.apple.com/certificateauthority/
