How to make a Drop down sorter

Does any one knows how to create a drop down sorter?

Im running VM 2.14 on Joomla 8 and I need to know the following... How can I change the product sort from its default configuration on the category view to a dropdown with options for:

By Product Name (alphabetically) , By price low to high (Least expensive to most expensive), and By Price High To Low (Most expensive to least expensive)

I see if you click the Price +/- thing it changes from high to low and low to high this but its not intuitive to a user.  Could anyone tell me where I find this code and how I can modify it in such a way its not overwritten by updates? Thanks.
