Validating shopper fields

So, I know I can make fields required, but what about making them validated? As in, this must be so many characters, only numbers, etc....

Any advice?

Something like this is not avaliable in virtuemart at the movement.

There is nothing to stop you adding or commissioning validation scripts if you need them, which I am told can be introduced as plugins.

With more functions being added to the core all the time there is a danger of the component getting to large for the average user to install. That is why extensions needed by relatively few users are best handled by plugin.
