Remove Images from categories, subcatogeries and products

Good evening Ladies and Gents, I just started developing a website using joomla 2.5. and the virtuemart extension 2.0.14. My problem: I don´t want to use images in most of my products (overview and detail view)  but couldnt find a way to remove them. I was hoping to find an option like "show image" or similar so I just need to disable it. But obviously I need to modify some of the php files. Now can someone explain to me what I need to do or give me a link where I can find a tutorial? Thanks!

If you try searching on the forum you will tons of information regarding template editing.

Also under Templates & Layouts section you will find a lot of information regarding templates. Keep in mind that vm2 uses the same template system as joomla, so if you are familiar building site and template for joomla you will not have any issues adjust vm2 templates at your needs.

Is t possible to put the complete modified file here? I've pasted te code into the default.php categorie view, but it does not work.

Okay, I removed it from the product info page, but how can you remove it from the product listing page? Turning off the images, turns of all of the product images which is not what I want.

It's the category image at the top of the page I would like hidden. (However I still want the image on the front page).
