* Actully I want to display 18 products first time on each page of any category ?
* then user can set products using list drop down according to his need.
I tried maully but it didn't work for me. now i think it needs any code.

Did you set max products per page? pagination? did you follow the instructions?

Hi,  I did this
  1) From the backend  shopfront: Max products per view in frontend ->18 
     and category->details
     Default Number of Products per Row ->0,
     Limit List Start-> 0, Limit List Step -> 0,
     Limit List Max ->0, Initial Display Records->0
  2)Pagination pagination sequence for the List Box->18,36,54
but still it is not working. also cleared browser cache.   It is showing pagination sequence whatever set but not displaying 18 products first time.
