Hi. I seem to be having a problem while running J 2.5.6 and VM 2.0.12F. My store is available at www.loveall.oneofakind.ws.

I have set 8.25% tax to be charged on any items shipped to Texas. The problem is when I add a $50 item to the cart, the cart messes up when calculating the tax. Here is the math rundown:

The item is $50.00, so tax should be $4.125 (8.25%). The cart only uses two decimal places so it rounds tax to $4.13. For some reason, since it may not properly round, it thinks it has charged $.01 extra so it applies a $.01 discount but the discount doesn't actually do anything. I've attached a screenshot below.

This solution is easy to replicate, just add a $50 item to your cart (anything in the pants category) and use a Texas address to checkout.

If you're wondering if I searched for other threads similar to this, I did and I didn't find anything that had a similar issue.

There are some other posts in the forum regarding the display of a discount.

It relates to the setting of "tax per product" when setting the tax rate.

Not sure whether the setting of "VAT per product" is suitable for your needs, but the problem does not occur when this is set (due to internal rounding no doubt relating to VAT.

Try a quick test by setting the Tax setting to VAT per product to see if that solves it?
