Jose M.

I'm a little confused, I downloaded version 2.0.12d and if I try again, now is the 2.0.12b.
What are the differences between 2.0.12 and 2.0.12b or 2.0.12d?

Thanks
Jose

It will be very important in order to know if the release affords the installation

But I still don't see where we can see what changes are made by the c,d and e upgrades.

A very concrete list would be apreciated.

I found what I believe to be a bug and posted the topic (regarding discount calculations in cart) and it was on the 2.0.12b version and I'd like to see if it is withing the fixed things done by any of those upgrades before upgrading because sometimes upgrades might fix something and unfix something that worked well previously.

Hello,

a,b,c,d,e version are mostly fixes, 2012 features is in the link above i gave. You could download and compare the code to see the exactly changes.
The problem you mention i think exist also in versions 206, 208,2010, 2011, 2012 and may be and before, some users have mention that coupon discount applied after taxes applied, that they want tax to be calculated after the discount on the sales price.
Where is exactly your point about the cart? You could make a test installation from a backup you already have (your vm data) and try out the latest version to see if everything works normal for you, if you have issues you could report the back.

I am suggesting using 2012e.

Thanks for your reply. Anyhow, even though you tell me the upgrades are some fixes, still it would be nice to know what fixes it does.

Regarding my issue, the best is to have a look at the topic I posted, so you can see it clearly there. Besides, I uploaded some images to clarify the situation.

Is there anywhere that changes to the code are clearly indicated in a set of release notes, including file names and the functional changes.  Including template mods.

If the dev team are using change control software, this should be achievable.

I need to write test scripts for every change implementation and cannot be expected to test all functions of the shop "just in case"

Hello,

Milbo answer on your specific issue: http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=109076.msg365252#msg365252

Fixes have take place mostly for SEF urls, frontend editing and some other also. I think you could safely upgrade to 2012e

Hello Hutson,

The best way to track changes is use the subversion (svn) and will track all the changes dev team makes prior to releases.

Please read more over here: http://dev.virtuemart.net/projects/virtuemart/wiki/Developer_guideline and here http://dev.virtuemart.net/projects/virtuemart/wiki/Setting_up_a_Development_Environment
The current trunk is: https://dev.virtuemart.net/svn/virtuemart/trunk/virtuemart

Also vm2 replicates on github: https://github.com/VirtueMart/virtuemart
github sync's on svn, so svn has the most recent changes.

Suggested IDE i have used are: Eclipse, phpstorm (commercial)
Also netbeans is very good and fast. Under joomla.org you will find vital information how to configure eclipse & netbeans working with joomla 2.5.

Hopefully cover your question
