Same problem with VM 2.0.12f. My invoices were a disaster!
In my opinion this feature needs a quick fix. In the meantime, don't use it.

Still no sollution for this? I really want to use coupons but I cant because of incorrect tax display.

I know this story has two sides. On the one hand you have coupons where tax shouldnt be reduced but also coupon codes witch are just discount coupons. Tax should be reduced then.
Why dont just make an option on creating coupons for before or after tax.?
