adding div class "title" to manufacturer specific product search header

hello all,

this is my first post on the forums, so apologies if i've misdirected my question... i've done some reading and haven't found an answer to my particular query yet.

i'm a new joomla/VM user laboriously editing Linelab's free Shoplab template for use at stellarcellular.ca, the mobile phone sales/service shop where i work. right now, when i click a category in the main menu (parts, repairs, etc) i'm given a nicely laid-out series of drop down text menus - Sort by, Manufacturer, and Results. Each dropdown also has a label indicating its contents.

However, when I make a single manufacturer "active", the "Manufacturer" label above the manufacturer menu disappears, and the dropdown shifts up out of line with the other dropdowns. Using firebug, I've been able to determine that when a manufacturer is active, the <div class="title">Manufacturer</div> label above the menu itself is no longer present, but I have no idea how to add this label back into the code.

Any advice/assistance would be greatly appreciated!
